Royalty For 2022 Days of '47

The 2022 Days of 47 Queen was Caroline Johnson. She is the daughter of Catherine and Dana Johnson of North Salt Lake. She is currently attending BYU, where she is pursuing a degree in Art History and Curatorial Studies with a minor in Nonprofit Management, she plans to graduate in December. Caroline has a passion for Highland/Scottish dancing, and is the creator of the “Dance Around the World” program.

 The 2022 Days of `47 First Attendant was Anna Johnson. She is the daughter of Madeline Johnson from Ephraim. Anna is currently attending Weber State, majoring in Interior Design, Technology, with a double minor in Violin Performance and Professional Sales. 

The 2022 Second Attendant was Arielle Cline. She is the daughter of Melou and David Cline of North Salt Lake. Arielle is a student at BYU with a full-ride academic scholarship, where she is pursuing a Flute Performance Major, which will allow her to become a classical musician, and Physician Assistant pre-requisites. 

 

Royalty For 2021 Days of '47

International Society Daughters of Utah Pioneers, in partnership with Days of '47, Inc., was pleased to announce the 2021 royalty: Sophia Lowry, Queen; Adelynn Eisenach, First Attendant; and Arianna Haner, Second Attendant. Higher education scholarships of $3,000 for the queen and $2,500 for each attendant will be awarded.

The Queen, Sophia Lowry, is a student at the University of Utah, where she is a teaching assistant at the David Eccles School of Business. Sophia is on the Dean's List and majoring in business and marketing. She is the daughter of Jeremy and Stacy Lowry of Murray, Utah.

The first attendant, Adelynn Eisenach, is a student at Mount Liberty, a liberal arts college. Adelynn is pursuing a Political Science and Historical/Classical Literature degree. Her parents are Joshua and Ali Eisenach of Paragonah, Utah.

Second attendant, Arianna Haner, is a student at Utah State, where she is studying ornametal horticulture. Arianna is the daughter of Glen and Machelle Haner of Riverdale, Utah.

 

 

Royalty For 2019 Days of '47 Celebration

International Society Daughters of Utah Pioneers and Days of '47, Inc. Royalty were crowned for 2019 at the Little Theater, Conference Center in Salt Lake City. The Royalty were: Anastasia Haner, Queen; Carli Sorenson, First Attendant; and Emilie Clark, Second Attendant.

Anastasia Haner is from Riverdale, Utah and will graduate in May in accredited Midwifery Studies. Carli Sorenson is from Springville, Utah and has a degree from Utah Valley University in Hospitality Management. Carli was sponsored by the ISDUP Henry Ballard Camp of the Cache North Company. Emilie Clark is from West Haven, Utah and is studying Human Resource Management at Utah Valley University.

 

Bradie Harris, the daughter of Laurel and Mike Harris of South Jordan Utah, is the recipient of the 2019 Annie Taylor Hyde Award. She was chosen by the other contestants of the 2019 DUP Days of `47 Scholarship Royalty Pageant and received a $500 scholarship. They selected her because she was friendly, considerate, exemplified modesty, integrity, and good humor. Bradie served a mission in the Dominican Republic, returning home just two days before the pageant. She is planning to complete college and finish writing her first book.

She says the example of her ancestors’ hard work and dedication inspires her to be the best person she can be. Bradie just happens to be a descendant of Annie Taylor Hyde and was sponsored in the pageant by the Temple View Camp of the Salt Lake Far Southwest Company.
Due to the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic, the 2019 Royalty served from 2019-2021.

 


Royalty For 2018 Days of '47 Celebration

Royalty for 2018 Days of ’47 were crowned Saturday, May 12, 2018. The queen is Lauren Bell. She is the daughter of Russell and Barbara Bell of California. She is a student at BYU and served an LDS mission in Seoul, Korea. The First Attendant is Heidi Farley, who is the daughter of Tracy and Dan Farley. She served an LDS mission in Arkansas. The Second Attendant is Rachel Roy, daughter of Marianne and Randall Overstreet and Doug and Tonya Roy. She served an LDS mission in Boston, Massachusetts. The recipient of the coveted Annie Taylor Hyde Award is Sabrina Wheeler. She was selected by a majority vote of the other contestants. 

 

 

 

 

Royalty For 2017 Days of '47 Celebration

Royalty for 2017 Days of ’47 were crowned Saturday, April 22, 2017.  The pageant featured 21 contestants from Utah, Idaho, New York, and Michigan. The queen was Maren Cline of North Salt Lake. Her first attendant was Tess Hanson (left) and her second attendant was Brittny Millington (right).  

 

 

 

Royalty For 2016 Days of '47 Celebration

The queen is Baylee Rose Hogan, the daughter of Monte and Christine Hansen of St. George, Utah.  She is a classically-trained vocalist and fluent in both Italian and American Sign Language.  In an unprecedented outcome, Baylee, is also the recipient of the coveted Annie Taylor Hyde Award.  She was selected by a majority vote of the other contestants.  This is the first time that both honors have been bestowed upon one young woman.  The First attendant is Rachel Kennedy, daughter of Ken and Nancy Kennedy of Brigham City, Utah.  She currently attends the University of Utah where she studies athletic training with a minor in nutrition.  The Second attendant is Stephanie Bland, the daughter of Jeffrey and Laura Bland of Smithfield, Utah.  Stephanie received High Honors from Weber State, and currently works as a registered nurse.

The trio was chosen during a pageant held April 16 at the LDS Conference Center. They were selected by a panel of judges based on talks centered on this year’s theme, “Pioneers Inspiring Today’s Generation!” Their goals, accomplishments, poise, leadership, answers to judges’ questions, and family genealogy with pioneers who came to the Salt Lake Valley between 1847 and May 10, 1869 were other qualifications. As they travel and speak this summer, our Royalty will be an example to young women who hear their message. They will represent the Days of ’47 and International Society Daughters of Utah Pioneers.  Numerous Days of ’47 events occur during July. Go to www.daysof47.com for dates and locations. Royalty for 2015 Days of ’47 were crowned Saturday, April 11th, 2015.

The queen is Madeline Kay Field (photo middle), a student at Utah State University.  She is the daughter of Mathew Field from Draper, Utah, and Lisa Wiebolt from Syracuse, Utah. First attendant is Christina Muhlestein (left), a student at BYU. Her parents are Brent and Elaine Muhlestein from Bountiful, Utah. Second attendant is Kaitlin Paxton (right), a student at University of Utah.  She is the daughter of Bob and Michelle Paxton from Bountiful, Utah. The trio was chosen during a pageant held April 11 at the LDS Conference Center Theater.  They were selected by a panel of judges based on talks centered on this year’s theme, “Pioneers – Forging a New Frontier!”.  Their goals, accomplishments, poise, leadership, answers to judges’ questions, and family genealogy with pioneers who came to the Salt Lake Valley between 1847 and May 10, 1869 were other qualifications. As they travel and speak this summer, our Royalty will be an example to young women who hear their message.  They will represent The Days of ’47 and International Society Daughters of Utah Pioneers well.

Kassidi Faulkner, currently attending BYU, the daughter of Anthony and Trina Faulkner from West Jordan, Utah, received the Annie Taylor Hyde Award. She was chosen by her peers for her friendship and kindness.

The queen is Nicole Lindsay, daughter of Roger and Julie Lindsay of Bountiful, Utah.  First attendant is Danielle Shkapich from Provo, Utah, daughter of Daniel and Donna Shkapich of Chandler, Arizona.  Second attendant is Camille Johnson, daughter of Kelly and Sharon Johnson from Smithfield, Utah.  The trio was chosen during a pageant held April 12 at the LDS Conference Center Theater.  They were selected by a panel of judges based on talks centered on this year’s theme, “Pioneers – Pushing Toward Our Future”.  As they travel and speak this summer, our Royalty will be an example to all young women who hear their message.  They will represent The Days of ’47 and International Society Daughters of Utah Pioneers well.

Susannah Coats, presently living in Orem, Utah, daughter of Kevin and Kathy Coats from Holden, Utah, received the Annie Taylor Hyde Award. She was chosen by her peers for her friendship and kindness.

The Queen is Malissa Richardson, daughter of Trent and Lorilee Richardson of South Jordan, Utah. First Attendant is Chelsea Alley from Bountiful, Utah, daughter of John and Cori Alley. Second Attendant is Lizzy Davis, daughter of Richard and Wendy Davis, from Salt Lake City, Utah. The trio was selected during a pageant held April 13 at the LDS Conference Center Little Theater.  They were selected by a panel of judges based on talks centered on this year’s theme, “Pioneers – Our Anchor for the Future,” their goals, accomplishments, poise, leadership, answers to judge’s questions, and family genealogy with pioneers who came to the Salt Lake Valley between 1847 and 1869.

Royalty for 2012 Days of '47 were crowned Saturday, April 14th, 2012.

2012 Queen is Hannah Marie Blackburn of Centerville, 1st Attendant Christina Keller of Orem and 2nd Attendant Stephanie Romney of West Bountiful. The three royalty were selected by a  panel of judges based on talks centered on the Days of '47 theme, "Pioneers--Building on the Dream."  Their goals, accomplishments, poise, leadership, answers to judges' questions, and family genealogy with pioneers who came to the Salt Lake Valley between 1847 and 1869 were other qualifications.

Royalty For 2011 Days of '47 Celebration

Royalty for the 2011 The Days of '47 Inc. celebrations has been named to reign over the events. The Queen is Courtney Curtis. 1st Attendant is Ashley Kearl. 2nd Attendant is Megan Howell. The trio was selected during a pageant held April 16th at the LDS Conference Center Little Theater. They were selected by a panel of judges based on talks centered on this year's theme, "Press Forward Pioneers", answers to judges questions, and family genealogy with pioneers who came to the Salt Lake Valley between 1847 and 1869. Megan Greenhalgh was voted Miss Congeniality and awarded the Annie Taylor Hyde Award.
