In connection with the opening of the clothing gallery, January 2004, the Daughters of Utah Pioneer Memorial Museum published a book called “Samplers,” which celebrations the museum’s collection of needle arts. The book includes color pictures of some the pieces in the museum’s collection. The samplers date from 1779 through 1857 and show “an eclectic and fascinating variety of needlework.”
You can purchase this book by visiting the Bookstore online or at the Pioneer Memorial Museum.
The Daughters of Utah Pioneers maintain numerous satellite museums around the state of Utah and beyond. Click here for a list of other DUP (satellite) Museums.
